New York is a beautiful place to be during the winter months and especially during Christmas time. With no shortage of holiday spirit, New York City has decorations lining the streets and celebrations all winter long. If you are headed out to New York this winter be sure and find time to attend these popular New York City events.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree: The tree is standing tall, all lit up and available for viewing until January 7th, 2017. The Rockefeller Christmas trees have always been  massive and are normally cut down from someone's property as it takes years and years to grow a tree that big! The tree has been a tradition since 1931, bringing the city together to celebrate the holidays. You will find the tree at Rockefeller Center and while your there we suggest heading over to the ice rink so see how your skating skills match up!

Rockefeller Center Ice Rink :Grab your friends and family, bundle up and head over to the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink for some holiday fun! Whether you are a pro and can twist and twirl on top of the ice or you are grabbing onto the rail and falling on your knees, you are sure to have a great time! The rink also makes for a sweet date idea, for new daters and even long time couples.

Christmas Window Displays:Don't forget to head down to the major department stores to see what spectacles they have created this year for their holiday window displays. In New York City it has long been tradition that the major department stores like Macy's and Bloomingdale's transform their windows into magical holiday scenes, bringing with it huge crowds to come see the newest years themes.

Radio City Spectacular :Entertaining New Yorkers since 1933, the Radio City Spectacular is entertaining fun for all ages. With appearances from the New York Rockettes, the Nutcracker, Santa Clause, and many live animals. Audiences will be amazed by the talented dance numbers and music, as well as the over 1,300 elaborate costumes that will be used during the performance.

The Nutcracker :Performed at the David H. Koch Theatre, this classic ballet is a must see during the holidays. With stunning choreography and talented dancers, The Nutcracker will leave the audience in awe. This is a great show year round but it becomes extra special during the holidays due to the Christmas story plot. Great for audiences of all ages!
