Baggage Storage
There are two places to store your luggage at JFK Airport New York.
- Terminal 4 at JFK (near the Arrivals area - call 718.751.2947 for information) offers a 24-hour luggage storage service in NY. Depending on the size of your bag, NYC luggage storage rates range between $4- $16 per day.
- Terminal 1 at JFK also features a baggage storage service in NYC. (Call 718.751.2947 for information.) This service is also located near the Arrivals area, and is open from 7am- 11pm. NYC luggage storage rates at Terminal 1 also range between $4- $16 per day.
AirTrain at JFK International Airport NYC
The JFK New York International Airport Terminal 1
The convenient AirTrain NYC is available to New York City commuters leaving and arriving the JFK International Airport. The NYC AirTrain services each of the eight terminals at JFK International, and costs just $5 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the AirTrain Metrocard vending machines located at each JFK Airport Terminal.
The NY AirTrain offers service to Penn Station in Manhattan, and also connects with the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). NYC commuters traveling to Manhattan must pay an additional $2.25 to access the NYC subway. The trip from JFK Airport to Manhattan via the AirTrain can take as little as 35 minutes.
On average, the AirTrain picks up NYC commuters from the JFK Airport Terminals every seven minutes during peak hours (4am- 8pm), and every 15 minutes during slower hours (8pm- 4am). The AirTrain is the cheapest way to get to the JFK International Airport.
The AirTrain is free when traveling within the JFK International Airport, and takes approximately two minutes to travel between JFK Airport terminals.

Other New York City Airports & NYC Airport Transfers
Other NYC Airports include LaGuardia Airport, Newark International Airport and Long Island’s MacArthur Airport. The Airporter provides service between JFK and Newark airports and the New York Airport Service bus provides transportation service between JFK & LaGuardia. AirTrain JFK is also available and connects the JFK airport terminals with the Long Island Rail Road and NYC Subway system at the Jamaica and Howard Beach station in Queens.
