- Cocktails: While there's a two drink minimum at the Broadway Comedy Club in New York, we're fine with that because laughing and alcohol seem to go hand in hand.
- Location: As one of the best New York City comedy clubs, it sits in one of the best locations, Times Square. After the show, take a minute to walk around this bigger then life area of New York.

Worth the Laughs
I would definitely go back to Broadway Comedy Club. I was walking through Times Square, with family, seeing the sights when we were approached with tickets to a comedy show nearby. Laughing always sounds like a good time, so we decided to buy the tickets and check out the show that night.
We realized we were taking a chance on these tickets, since you never really know the full lineup before you go, and it could be hit or miss. Luckily for us, it was a hit. 8 different comedians performed, though nobody I’d ever heard of, and they were clearly at different levels of professionalism. I’d say half of them made the night totally worth it and two of them reduced us to tears from laughing so hard.
The tickets were only about $10 a piece with negotiation (which I recommend), but as with many of the comedy clubs in NYC, each guests is required to purchase 2 drinks at minimum once inside (which to be fair is explained before you purchase the tickets) , so the total cost ended up being closer to $30+ per person.
The club interior is nothing fancy, just black walls, black floor, and fold-out tables and chairs, but it’s decorated with paintings of all the famous comedians that have come through the joint – and most likely started out there, including Ellen DeGeneres, Jerry Seinfeld and Rosie O’Donnell, just to drop a few names.
We sat in the front and were told there would be no audience-bashing, but as suspected there was – all in the name of fun, of course. All in all, the night was a great time, the service was pleasant and the comedy was hilarious, for the most part.
(In comparison, I’ve also been to a competitor club, HA! Comedy Club in Times Square, and it was the worst “comedy” experience I’ve ever had.) So, I definitely recommend Broadway Comedy Club if you’re seeking a funny night in New York City.

Mediocre Comedians at the Broadway Comedy Club
When you're walking down the streets of New York City, you may be tempted to grab up a deal on a night at the Broadway Comedy Club. Unless it's a ridiculously low price (nearly free), you should probably pass on these tickets. This comedy club has pretty bad service and a two drink minimum for everyone. Also, their comics can be kind of spotty. You really never know if you're going to get a good batch or you'll be hearing crickets.
